銘「海の幸」

海の浅瀬に生息する貝殻を思い起こさせる仕上げ。ボウルトップの内側とシャンクの小口面はスムースに仕上げている。パイプとしてのフォルムの単純性から抜け出る手法として、大井がよくする仕事だ。太いシャンクの内部は、パイプにしては巨大な空間がある。そこで十分に煙を冷やし、口腔内に運び込む。吸い口を外すときは利き手でボウルを持ち、もう一方の手で吸い口の先端を弾くとその衝撃で外れやすくなる。

It occurs us to a shell which lives in shallow seas. The inside of the bowl-top and the mouthpiece of the shank are made smoothly. Mr. Ohi often uses this technique. There is a huge space inside the thick shank. Then it makes the smoke cool and enter the mouth. When removing the mouthpiece, hold the bowl with dominant hand and play with the tip of the mouthpiece with the other hand, the way makes it easier for the impact to detach.
