柘製作所と、漆工芸の工房「会津・布分」とのコラボレーションから生まれた伝統美あふれる逸品。1929年にダンヒルが並木製作所に依頼し、国光会の漆芸家が万年筆、懐中時計、喫煙具に蒔絵を施した作品に、敬意を表して作られたシリーズである。シャンクまで一体感のある漆黒に塗り上げ、ボウルには蒔絵作家の小松茂夫が日本の四季を表現した植物を描いている。さらに、くずし文字で「しげお」の銘を入れて仕上げている。

This superior series full of traditional beauty was collaborated by Tsuge and a Japanese lacquer craft workshop Aizu Nunobun. The series was made to pay their respect to the works by Namiki, created by the request of Dunhill in 1929. The lacquer work artists of Kokkokai applied lacquer (maki-e) on those works such as fountain pens, pocket watches, and smoking goods. Deep black color is applied even to the shank and brings a sense of unity to the pipe. The maki-e artist Shigeo Komatsu painted plants which represent the four seasons of Japan on the bowl.
